Joy, music & queer nostalgia

A warm welcome to Dream Street Records – a joy-fuelled celebration of pop music and personal archives.

We sell new and used vinyl records, CDs, cassettes, DVDs, magazines, books, gifts and games – both online, and from our shop in the heart of Brighton's North Laine.

Our curated selection of new vinyl includes a mix of pop bestsellers, queer pioneers, and timeless albums spanning six decades.

Dream Street Records leans into the idea of our music collections being like our personal archives: that is, we can tell the stories of our lives through the songs, albums and artists we hold dear.

We'll be looking back at pop history from the 1950s to the present day through a multiplicity of lenses. We’ll also be celebrating the particular, sometimes life-saving significance of pop for generations of LGBTQ+ people.

Much of our stock is available to buy online, and you can save the delivery charge by opting to collect in-store. More items are being added every week, so keep checking back.

We deliver throughout the UK through Shopify's shipping partners Yodel (standard) and DPD (next day). If you're local to Brighton & Hove, you can save the delivery charge, and collect in-store.

We also offer free local delivery with no minimum order for customers in BN1, BN2 or BN3 postcodes who are disabled, chronically ill, or unable to come to the shop.
