Refund policy
14-day no-quibble returns
If you are not satisfied with any item you have purchased for whatever reason, you may return it to us within 14 days for a full refund. This applies to purchases made both in-store and online.
In-store purchases
If you made a purchase in our Brighton shop and you later change your mind, please return the item (in the same condition) along with your till receipt within 14 days for a full refund or exchange. If you cannot bring the item back in to the shop, please email us and we will aim to find a mutually agreeable way to get the item back to us.
Online orders
If you wish to cancel or return an order placed online, please send an email to returns@dreamstreetrecords.co.uk in the first instance. We will acknowledge your return request, and send you a mailing label by email.
Please note that if you have opened a new, factory-sealed item, we may only be able to offer a partial refund or exchange unless the item is faulty.
When returning the item(s), please use the original packaging, print and affix the mailing label, and drop it into your nearest post office. (Don’t forget to get proof of posting). We’ll refund you within 48 hours of receiving your returned items. Please remember that it is your responsibility to take reasonable care of the items until they are returned to us.
If your item is faulty
We visually inspect all records, tapes and CDs, but we aren't able to play test everything, and occasionally defects do slip through.
If you find that your item is faulty, not as described, or unfit for purpose (e.g. the record is warped, scratched or skips), you are entitled to a full refund if you return the item within 30 days of purchase.
After 30 days, we will replace any faulty item or offer an exchange for the same value in line with your statutory consumer rights.
